Finnfast

This subsea tunnel is equipped with Oglaend System’s LOE cable ladders, custom-made central support and 1650 supports for lighting.

Finnfast is 6 kilomtres long and connects the islands – Rennesøy, Finnøy and Talgje. It was the first tunnel in Norway with an intersection inside.

Rennesøy was connected to the mainland in 1992, when the subsea tunnel, Rennfast, opened. Once the Finnfast project was completed, two more islands, Finnøy and Talgje, were connected to the mainland.
